A machine shop website built to win RFQs

The brief

Ironvale machines aerospace, medical and defense parts in Wichita, Kansas. Their buyers are engineers and procurement teams who skim for tolerances, envelopes, materials and certifications, then want to send a STEP file. The old site had a photo of the building and a phone number.

What we did

• Numbers up front. A stats bar under the hero states tolerance, machine count, on-time rate, quote turnaround and lot sizes, the five figures buyers compare shops on.
• Capabilities written like a spec sheet. Six numbered capability blocks, each with three monospaced specs, plus a materials grid with alloy designations and an industries list tied to the relevant standard.
• Quality as a section, not a badge. The inspection lab, first-article reports and traceability get their own space, with the certifications shown as chips.
• RFQ as the destination. Every call to action leads to one form with a drawing drop zone, and a three-step explanation of what happens after upload, including the engineering review.
• Owned end to end. Domain, repository and hosting in Ironvale's name. Certifications, stats and materials live in one file the quality manager can update.

The result

A home page that scores 100 on Lighthouse performance with the full-width machining photo painted in 1.1 s, and a quote form that reads clearly on a phone in the shop and on a procurement desk.
